Fire breaks out in Lucknow’s luxury hotel Levana Suite, 2 dead

Fire breaks out at Hotel Levana Suite in Lucknow, the hotel at Hazratganj area. Many people are still trapped in the hotel and some are badly injured. The fire brigade is busy in evacuating the people from the hotel. Twenty people have been rescued so far.

Several people have been injured and 1 man and 1 woman have been reported dead in the fire. 7 people who were injured in the fire have been admitted to the hospital. The fire brigade reached the spot and is engaged in the work of evacuating the people from the hotel and dousing the fire. People are being evacuated by breaking the window panes of hotel rooms. The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit. It is being told that there are 30 rooms on the floor where the fire started. Of them, 18 rooms were booked. 40 to 45 people must have been there at the time of the accident.

The fire started on the third floor of the hotel and immediately spread throughout the hotel. Around 20 fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot. Fire brigade personnel are trying to get people out by entering the hotel through the windows.

The fire brigade personnel are constantly battling to control the fire. So far 7 people have been evacuated from the hotel and taken to the hospital. Those rescued with severe injuries have been taken to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Hospital. “We are looking after them and more people are expected to come here. We are prepared, said Dr Anand Ojha, director of the hospital.
