CM Stalin will start Delhi model schools in Tamil Nadu, Kejriwal Launch the Scheme

Under this scheme, all the girl students studying in class 6 to 12 in government schools will directly paid Rs 1000 until their completion of their bachelor’s degree, Diploma and ITI.

This scheme is based on Dehli schools “The School of Excellence and Model school” and it inaugurated by the government of Tamil Nadu on Monday. This Scheme is launched by Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal with Tamil nadu counterpart MK Stalin at Bharti Women’s college.

How much Schools Included?

It includes 26 Excellence and 15 model schools in the initial phase. The Official names of these SOE and Model schools are ‘Thagaisal Palligal’ and ‘Mathiri Palligal’ state Chief minister Stalin will launch the Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammayar Memorial ‘Puthumai Pen’(Modern Women) Scheme.

This scheme is based on Dravidian model

The improved infrastructure in the state run schools’ plan is exactly like “Dravidian model” which includes Women empowerment. In April, Arvind Kejriwal and Stalin visited government schools in Delhi and praised the infrastructure in the institutions and decided to have the similar facilities in Tamil Nadu.

Under this scheme, all girl students studying in classes 6 to 12 in government schools will be paid Rs 1,000 directly into their bank account till the uninterrupted completion of their bachelor’s degree, diploma and ITI courses. Students will be eligible for this assistance in addition to other scholarships. Through this program, approximately 6,00,000 girl students can potentially get benefits every year. An amount of Rs 698 crore was allocated in the budget for this new scheme.
