Accident in Hazratganj due to heavy rain, nine people died due to collapse of house wall

Heavy rain caused a major accident in Lucknow’s Hazratganj on Friday. Nine people died and two were injured after a wall under construction collapsed in Dilkusha Colony. Two children are also among the dead. Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have announced compensation for the families of the deceased. Chief Minister Yogi has expressed deep grief over the loss of life in the accident.

He has directed the officers to provide proper treatment to the injured. The construction work of the old wall was going on in Dilkusha Colony, for which the workers were staying. The part of the wall that had stood firmly before, fell.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar reached Dilkusha Colony and took stock of the incident. The district magistrate said that the accident occurred due to the collapse of the under construction wall due to the rain since last night. The two injured have been admitted to the civil hospital where doctors have declared both of them out of danger. The District Magistrate reached the Civil Hospital and took their well being. The District Magistrate said that under the disaster relief, 4 lakh rupees will be provided to the families of those who died in the accident.

Lucknow MP and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed grief over the incident by tweeting. He tweeted that I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of many people due to the collapse of a wall in Lucknow. My deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident. Along with this, I wish a speedy recovery to all those injured in this accident.
