New Delhi : 16 june 2020 : In view of major demand for digital skill training amid Coronavirus pandemic, various online platforms like DigiVidyapeeth are making foray in the sector to help youth enhance their skills as well as earn livelihood which is a good endeavour, said Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Mahendra Nath Pande here.
“The Government has been promoting Digital India Programme in a big way wherein youth in the country are not only enhancing their skills but also earning livelihood, ” he said while launching the online initiatives of DigiVidyapeeth. It is an organisation engaged in providing digital education online.
Undoubtedly, the COVID-19 outbreak is the major accelerator that has led to a mega shift in digital teaching and learning approach.
Appreciating the efforts, Pandey said it’s a matter of satisfaction and encouragement that youth are entering into the sector in a large number to provide employment to the needy.
DigiVidyapeeth is an online platform imparting skill developments education to the youth as per their requirements.
Commenting on the digital and eLearning initiatives, DigiVidyapeeth head Pradeep Khatri said, “These are tough times and digital learning initiatives are playing a critical role in keeping learners connected and in maintaining continuity.”
” Three types of courses–digital marketing, personnel finance management and soft skill development wherein personality development is included have been launched at nominal fees.” He added that these are short term courses which can be easily learnt on mobile phone itself or computers at homes. Being multi-job oriented, these courses aim to help youth to get a job, start startups as well as improve their skills. Students can also enhance their skills, Khatri said.
