Delhi News : Police officer said that Gurpreet Saini has been arrested under the leadership of ACP Naresh Yadav by Inspector Anil Arvind, ASI Rajbir Mahesh and others. Gurpreet along with his associates had stolen 30 crores in a loop colony in Gurugram.
New Delhi – 17 September : A 117-year-old Make Colt pistol and 4 cartridges were recovered from Gurpreet, police said. Manufactured by the company in 1905, this pistol was the most popular military handgun during World War I.
Gangster Vikas Lagarpuria has been arrested by Crime Branch of Delhi Police Neeraj Bawania A close aide of Gurpreet Saini was arrested with 117 years old COLT pistol and cartridges. Accused wanted in Gurugram theft case of Tk 30 crore. According to Crime Branch DCP Rohit Meena, the gang of accused Gurpreet and gangster Vikas Lagarpuria stole Rs 30 crore from a flat in a posh society in Gurugram. After the theft, Vikas Lagarpuria sent the stolen money to Gurpreet Saini through ASI Bikash of Special Cell of Delhi Police, Gurpreet robbed the same money.
Gurpreet used to live in Tilak Nagar area and was involved in crimes like attempt to murder, arms act. He is a Proclaimed Offender of West District of Delhi. Later he shifted to Pitampura. Recently got involved in a dispute with his uncle. Then he threatened to kill uncle and son if they did not pay 12 lakhs.
117-year-old Colt pistol manufacture
According to police, he was caught while coming from Pitampura in Fortuner’s car, a 117-year-old Make Colt pistol with 4 cartridges was recovered from him. This pistol was produced by the company in 1905, was the most popular military handgun during World War I, and was produced with the Beretta modification until then. These pistol rounds are also very rare.
Bikash is near Lagarpuria
Accused Gurpreet, on further questioning, revealed that he was a close associate of Vikas Lagarpuria. Gurpreet used to finance Bikash’s criminal activities early on. Gurpreet Neeraj was earlier associated with the Bawania gang. He was arrested in an operation against the Neeraj Bawania gang. Apart from this, he was involved in land grabbing, financing criminals and betting in Tilak Nagar area. He is involved in several criminal cases along with his brother Taranpreet.
When his name surfaced in the Gurugram theft case, he was absconding and constantly shifting. He was in dire need of money, so he asked his uncle for money. When she refused to pay, he threatened her and started extorting money. He also said that Vikas Lagarpuria had sent Rs 2 crore to invest and hide the money in Dubai through ASI Bikash of Delhi Police’s special cell, where Vikas was hiding. But Gurpreet’s name also comes up as soon as the theft comes to the headlines. Gurpreet immediately transferred the money to Bittu, another associate of Vikas Lagarpuria, who was later arrested by the Gurugram police. Now Gurpreet was engaged in extortion from his uncles along with other businessmen of Tilak Nagar area, but before he could do so he was arrested by the crime branch.
