New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will get himself tested for the highly contagious coronavirus on Tuesday after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief complained of fever and sore throat, reported news agency ANI.
According to media reports, the Delhi Chief Minister is unwell has been experiencing fever since Sunday. Kejriwal has isolated himself at his residence and all his meetings till June 9 afternoon have been cancelled, reported ANI.
Officials, quoted by news agency PTI, said that the Delhi Chief Minister had attended a Cabinet meeting on Sunday morning and thereafter, he did not attend any meeting.
“He has mild fever and sore throat since Sunday afternoon. As advised by doctors, the chief minister will undergo COVID-19 test on Tuesday morning,” PTI quoted officials as saying.
This comes a day after the AAP chief opened the borders of the national capital with neighbouring states and allowed shopping malls, restaurants, private office to reopen after over two months of coronavirus-induced nationwide lockdown.
