‘Sir, farewell to kara do’: A Student’s request to PM Modi after the cancellation of CBSE Class 12 exams gone viral

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled Class 12 board exams on Tuesday. The decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in view of the coronavirus pandemic situation.

“Government of India has decided to cancel the Class XII CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth,” PM Modi tweeted.

As soon as the announcement of the cancellation of Class 12 exams was made, netizens took to Twitter to celebrate with memes and jokes. However, it was one student’s reaction that has left netizens in splits.

The student named requested the Prime Minister to give permission to organise the school farewell party.

Sir farewell to kraa do….wo 12th B wali neha ko saree me dekhna tha (Sir, please allow the farewell… I want to see Class 12 B’s Neha in a saree),” the student wrote in the reply to PM Modi’s tweet.

The student’s request has gone viral, garnering more than 1,900 likes and hundreds of reactions.

One user said, “I can understand your pain.” Another joked, “12th B wali neha ke Papa Wants to know your Location.”

A third user said, “Hahaha cant stop laughing…omg kuki neha ke papa kahi aapke pados mein toh nahi.” Yet another noted, “Neha ho ya Sneha… sabhi mask laga ke aayengi.”
