How To Make Rose Water

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Organic Roses ( 6-7 stems)
  • Distilled water
  • Spray Bottle

Instructions

  1. Remove the petals from the roses and collect them in a container. Then, clean the petals with lukewarm water to remove any pesticide and residue.
  2. Add the cleaned petals into a large cooking pot and add distilled water, just enough to cover the petals. Make sure to not add too much water as it can dilute the rose water.
  3. Over low – medium heat, boil the water to simmer and cover it with a lid.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for 25-30 minutes or until the petals have lost their colour and have turned into pale pink.
  5. Once the rose water is ready, strain the mixture and separate the petals from the water.
  6. Once it’s cooled down, pour the rose water into a Glass Jar and store it in a cool and dry place.
  7. If you want to use your rose water as a toner, you can put the mixture into a spray bottle for an easier and effortless application.
